I changed my direct debit date with orange last month and then paid the bill there and then on my card. They tried to take the payment again on the 27th december by direct debit!!! this bounced and now i have a bank charge. Who should be the one to pay this charge is it me? or should orange pay it or should the bank erase the charge?

Based on what you've said, Orange are at fault.
Complain and ask them to reimburse you.
Then ring the bank, grovel politely, don't mention Orange collecting it on the wrong date, and ask if they would kindly refund the charge.
Or would that be a bit naughty?0 -
i think i will take up that advice.
I will put in a complaint to orange as this is not the first time they have done this.0 -
Why not just call the bank and demand both the DD and the charge refunded under the DD guarantee if it was Orange's !!!! up?opinions4u wrote: »Based on what you've said, Orange are at fault.

So have you moved the dates before then?
This suggests to me budgeting issues - check the CRA's as well.0
