advice please re benefits

Hiya. I'm hoping to start a teaching assistant course and 10 hrs a week vol placement in school. I work at moment as self employed and dh is employed on £21000 a year. We have three children 8,6 and 3. I get CTC and cb will These be affected by me taking on the course and vol work. It is all unpaid, I'm just trying to better myself for the future. Many thanks x
