Trophy Buffer competition

Closing date for entry is 23.59 on the 7th January 2014. All entries must be received by the Closing Date.

Any entries received after this date will not be accepted.

The winner must be available on 22nd Jan 2014 to attend the event.

Hotel accommodation and breakfast will be provided by the NTAs for the winner and friend on 22nd January, plus transport from hotel to and from the event.

By Entering all entrants agree to participate in filmed photographed publicity for editorial coverage of the competition and the National Television Awards and agree to fully cooperate with the NTA production as directed.

Ten finalists will be selected to complete a tie-break task and the winner will be chosen from this group.

Finalists will be required to provide a recent photo that The Radio Times and NTAs may use for publicity purposes and editorial coverage of the competition.

The Promoter’s decision is final.

Entry is open only to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 and over excluding employees and their immediate families of the Promoter its agents, or anyone professionally associated with the promotion.

No purchase is necessary to enter, but internet access is required.

Winner selection: The winner will be selected from all valid entries within 1 working day of competition closing

Winner notification: The winner will be contacted by email/telephone by 14th January 2014. If the winners are not contactable or fail to respond to any correspondence within 2 days of dispatch of the winner notification email or call, they will lose their entitlement to the prize. The Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to another entrant, selected at random.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise.

The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation. In the event for any reason the prize winners do not take the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize will be forfeited by the winners and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of the prize. If for any reason the prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute another prize for it, in its sole discretion, of equal or higher value.

Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries, entries by macros or other automated means, and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that participant’s entries into the promotion in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the promotion, that person’s entries will be disqualified and any prize will be void.

If a winner’s entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry, the entry will be disqualified and the prize not awarded.

The winner agrees to comply with the reasonable requests of the Promoter and its agents and further agree to be bound by any reasonable terms imposed on them by the provider of the prize.

The Promoter reserves the right to publish the name and counties of residence of the winner.

The names and counties of the winner may be obtained by sending a stamped SAE to the promoter at the address below for a period of one month following the Closing Date.

The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose, unless we have your consent. The participant may withdraw consent to such use of personal information by writing to the Promoter or by using the opt-out process outlined in the Promoter’s privacy policy.

If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, or invalidate any affected entries.

The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.

These terms and conditions are governed by English Law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

The Promoter cannot guarantee the performance of any third party and shall not be liable for any act or default by a third party. Participants in this promotion agree that the Promoter will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, costs, damage or disappointment of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from acceptance, misuse or use of a prize or from participation in this promotion. Nothing in this clause shall limit the Promoter’s liability in respect of death or personal injury arising out of its own negligence or arising out of fraud.
