Vanquis Card nearly paid

Hi All,

i want to confront vanquis regarding over-limit charges, and DEFAULT CHARGE INTEREST.

Are they allowed to charge interest on the default charge?

Also why is vanquis only one of a few credit card company's where it takes 5 days sometimes for a payment to go through.

Yes, as the charge is added to the balance.

Is it a rhetoric question? Only they know why, but they do make it clear, so you are not taken by surprise.

I too find Vanquis slow to credit payments, I use Internet Banking which appears to be the fastest method at 2-3 working days.
Debenhams store card however credits IB payment within hours!
They usually credit the payment from the date payment was made though and not when it arrives.

Vanquis online payments via card seem to have improved, mine show up within 2 days at most.

The payment date on the statement always matches the date I have paid though.

Same here I pay with a Debit Card and it shows up within 2 days!

If I pay through the Vanquis web site using my debit card it goes through within 48 hours. If I pay through my bank using the faster payment system it takes longer, usually at least 72 hour.
