Section 75 refund question - flights

Is booking with a expedia, kayak type comparison site (when they then take you to another online travel agent)
for flights and hotels for a holiday covered by section 75 refunds.

Looking on MSE it appears as you have to book directly with the vendor for this to be valid

makes things clear - but I think then buying through these sites - especially if its Flight only, would not be covered.
