    I have just mailed CD wow as my nectar dvd order has somehow vanished. It was there last week with a status of awaiting delivery of stock. I think something fishy is going on here. Can other peeps who are waiting on dvd's from this promotion check there orders and let us know??

    If I get a response to my e-mail then I will provide an update.

    Hi, I have just checked mine and they are still all there, awaiting dispatch.
    Try going to the CDWow page to check your order but don't log in, just put your order number and email address in the second section, this might list your order.

    I have received an email from them this morning to say that one of my boxsets has been dispatched this morning so there is still hope.

    I personally do not want to cancel my order because these boxsets were at such a bargain price with nectar that I am going to hold out for them. Nectar will always refund the points if it all goes belly up.

    I received a reply back syaing that one part of my order is still awaiting stock but they are unable to get hold of the other dvd (even though it is available everywhere!!) and have recredited my nectar account.

    A bit gutted as the out of stock DVD is the one I wanted the most but at least I can save the points until the next nectar promotion :T

    Definitely something fishy going on.......

    I ordered Extras series 2 on 6 Jul and still waiting for despatch. Found it cheap on Play.com so cancelled the cdwow order.

    They initially said they would refund my debit card? I then emailed to say Id paid by Nectar and they returned the email to say they would refund my points. - Im not convinced!! Will give it a couple of weeks before I chase it up.

    However, there is definitely something strange going on with CDwow. I for one wont use them anymore, thats my last 3 orders all screwed up. Play seem much more reliable, but dont seem so good with the voucher offers!!!

    This should probably be moved to Gone but was it any good now.

    I am still waiting for an order - I ordered 2 DVDs on 7th July for 750 points each, The Green Mile and Manic Street Preachers 'Leaving the 20th Century', but only The Green Mile has been delivered. Unfortunately I lost both order numbers and now on the Nectar website it says that I only ordered 1 reward and paid 1,500 points!!! Which was the cost of the Green Mile before the sale! I have emailed CD-WOW but they don't respond these days. So I guess I'll have to put it down to experience... :-(

    I have now received a mail saying that they can no longer get hold of (my name is earl seaosn 1) and have cancelled my order.

    Not very good service as both dvd's I ordered are quite easily available in most stores / sites but I think because you are using Nectar points to pay for them that CD-Wow can't be bothered to get these out to you.

    They have re-credited my nectar account but I now have to go out and spend my hard earned cash on these dvd's :mad:
  • I phoned nectar today as my dvd has not arrived. I was told the CDWOW warehouse has been burned down but they will still get the dvd's to send out to customers.
    I am still waiting for 3 DVDs (now 2 because CD WOW cancelled the order for one of my selections).

    Ordered 09 July 07-latest message from CD WOW: We are expecting a delivery from our supplier on 31 Aug 07 and we will ship to you as soon as we can.

    I think I'll stick to Play.com in future-never have I had to wait 2 months for a couple of DVDs to be delivered. Their customer service people are useless too and don't seem to give a hoot.

    The sale idea was good and using Nectar points seemed like a sensible way to use them-shame CD WOW are possibly the worst on-line retailer I've ever dealt with.
  • Some further thoughts on this:

    CD WOW are still advertising the items I'm waiting for on their website. Seems as though if you paid cash for an item you'll probably get what you ordered. Use points and it's a low priority order to them. If they are advertising items on their website surely they must be able to fill orders placed-not take your money/points and then string everybody along for weeks?

    Don't bother with Nectar's Indian call centre help line either-they tell you to contact CD WOW to sort the problem out. And that takes forever on an 0870 number because the 0207 one is no longer in service. I managed to clock up 22 minutes, got nothing sorted out and got disconnected twice in the middle of speaking.

    Insist on speaking to a supervisor gets you to somebody in the UK who also don't give a damn and say that the matter has to be dealt with directly with CD WOW.

    Basically, you're on your own in trying to sort this one out and be warned: they have the warehouse fire excuse down pat-everybody you speak to uses this excuse.

    I don't think I'll be using either Nectar or CD WOW in the future.

    Don't suppose you are waiting for Grey's Anatomy Season 1 are you? - thats the same message I got! Waiting this long for a DVD is just ridiculous (even if the warehouse did burn down!)

  • I ordered Shrek 2 through this promotion. Got an email yesterday saying:
    Unfortunately despite our very best efforts we are unable to get further stock of this item from our supplier.

    This item has now been cancelled and a refund has been processed back to the account from where the original payment was debited.

    just checked my nectar account and the points were put back into my account yesterday.
