Claiming relatives ppi

My sister took out a loan with the local bank in January 1995 for £6000, unfortunately she died in October that same year and I paid off any debts she had, when I sold our deceased Mother's house. The full repayment to clear the loan was in the region of £8,500. I now understand that the bank could have exercised the 'right of set off' as she was intestate at the time of her death. Can I now seek retribution and/or the PPI associated with this loan. Should say that I retained most of the relevant paperwork (plus some from Solicitors) that confirm the payment to the bank.

The executor of the estate can put in a mis-sale complaint for the deceased. There are some limitations though. For example, no allegations of what may have been said verbally can be made (or if they are then they will be disregarded as the executor would not know what was said). Apart from that though, there is still the right to complain.

The executor has to settle debts from the estate even if it is small value. Only if the estate is in default would the bank not require payment. However, if someone volunteers to repay the debts from outside of the estate then that is personal choice.
