child benefit help

Hi all,
In brief...my 16 year old has just had a baby. she is still in full time education and we receive child benefit for her.
My question is this...should I claim child benefit for my new grandchild or should my daughter claim herself?
A few months back I contacted CAB for some advice and they told me to contact the benefits office directly. I was then told that because my daughter was still a dependant and in full time education the only help we would get would be to apply for working tax credits and child benefit.
At the moment I don't know what the best thing would be.
Any advice most appreciated
thank you.

Someone will probably move your post to somewhere that will get more of a response but in the meantime try asking on the families and relationships board http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=24To be in your child's memories tomorrow, be in their life today.0
