Cracked windscreen on rental carpl
Please help ! I had an accident in my car and the third party admitted liability . I have gone thru their insurance co. Admiral, who gave been brilliant. They hired me a replacement car thru enterprise. My car is now repaired and the rental car has to go back . However a stone was thrown p and hit the windscreen which has now cracked ,the insurance co told me not to take out excess insurance if enterprise offered it. So now what do I do ? Will the charge me for ? Losing sleep please help !

Yes they will charge you the windscreen excess, usually about £100.
I wouldn't lose sleep over it, you will end up paying eventually, even Admiral take it off your settlement.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

Did they not take a swipe of your credit or debit card? I am in a similar position currently with an Enterprise hire care while mine is being repaired. I decided to pay to take out the additional insurance (I didn't ask my insurers I just paid) to preserve my no claims, so hopefully that would cover damage of this kind, though I'm not sure about windscreens (as some insurers exclude them). I'm going to have a go at reclaiming this extra insurance though even if it's not paid I think it's worth the extra (especially in my case as I seem to have opted for an 'enhanced courtesy car' and have a lovely new Chevrolet Cruise to drive at present).somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0
