Returning Faulty goods

Hi - my daughter brought a dress from Primark before Christmas - after wearing it twice the zip has broken - she normally saves receipts but typically can't find this one! Are Primark obliged to give the full refund if the dress has now gone down in price or are they legally entitled to just give her the reduced refund on the faulty item - she paid cash so don't have proof of purchase either:(

cheers

Without proof of purchase they don't legally have to do anything as you can prove your daughter bought the dress from them. I'm not sure what their actual policy will be though.
