Paragon delaying brokers' PPI offer - any way of speeding them up?!

I made a complaint about PPI misselling for a Paragon loan against the brokers that arranged the loan as directed by paragon. I should have had a final decision in December, but the brokers wrote to me to say that this was being delayed because Paragon had not yet provided the figures needed for them to calculate the redress due to me.
I phoned the brokers today and the lady I spoke to told me that they'd agreed that PPI had been missold and my complaint had been upheld, and that as soon as they had the figures from paragon they'd write to me with an offer. She said they'd already chased Paragon for this info and will do so again, but that paragon have a tendency of dragging their heels over providing it, which doesn't surprise me in the slightest based on my own experiences of dealing with them.
Their letter in December mentioned that I was entitled to raise a complaint with the financial ombudsman about the delay but I'm reluctant to do that as I don't have a complaint about how the brokers themselves have handled my claim so far. I know FOS complaints have a huge backlog anyway, and I'm wary that doing so will make things take much longer.
Is there anyone who's been in this position with paragon, and if so, how long did it take to get an offer through? Is there anything I can do to speed things up? I've tried searching for existing answers but had no luck.
