Magazine subscription gift not recieved- where do i stand?

hi,
im after some help please!
I took out a magazine subscription with country living in aug/sept & they had a free gift of joules wellies.
in the small print, there was no wording saying it would only be available to a small amount of subscribers or anything to suggest I would not get them.
fast forward to now, 6 emails to subscription people, promises of someone phoning to resolve the issue & I've heard nothing!
so , where do I stand?
are they in breach of contract as they have not fulfilled their part of the deal or do I just accept I wont get them?
any ideas what I should do next?
