Just seen this on eBay entitled:
"Power Supply Socket Plug Adapter Convert Cable for XBox 360 to Xbox ONE"
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Power-Supply-Socket-Plug-Adapter-Convert-Cable-for-XBox-360-to-Xbox-ONE-/321286680922?pt=UK_Video_Games_Cables_and_Adaptors&hash=item4ace2db15a
Do you think this would work? What would be the sort of thing that one should check? - sufficient wattage, for example?

I would check this out thoroughly before trying it.
It may be that its only converting the mains cable rather than the adapter output.
BTW, this will invalidate your warranty.0 -
Power cable from China... Next option please...
Personally i would find a genuine power supply for the console.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Surely you should have had a power cable in the box when you bought the xbox one? Or did Microsoft change their minds over providing those too? I definately got one with my PS4, switching it on was one of the reasons i wanted it, not just for a plastic ornament under the TV...0

Does the Xbox One not come with a power cable then? Or is one not enough?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Maybe if you weren't so small minded you would know that people do live outside Birmingham or wherever you're located and have different Voltage coming out of that place you plug in your power cable in the wall (I hope your small mind is still following me). Maybe he like me traveled to the US from Europe and bought the xbox one there, brought it back and yes, like you he wanna switch it on and not have it there as a plastic ornament under the TV! He probably have a 360 cable with the right Voltage and everything and like me thought this little cable converter would be a cheap and clever solution!
Do a little research and think twice next time before you make yourself look stupid! Just a tip!0 -

How would a cable without a step down transformer (the xbox one USA /Canada model is 110V only) ever be a solution?
If it was a different (non dual) voltage xbox one then the only solution is a step down.0 -

Wow! Of course you're right. But just because you came from the US doesn't mean everyone else does. It was a perfectly acceptable response. Having said that, on your first post you go on the attack, I doubt you've ever been to America. The OP was asking about a converter (plug to socket) not something that would vary the voltage. You're the small minded one, twunk!0 -

Wow! Just wow guys! Are you even serious with your replies? I'm not sure if I even wanna waste more of my time here 'cause I'm starting to think you're all just posting troll posts! People can't be this stupid! -.- Of course he bought the console in a foreign country Bollotom (doesn't have to be from the US, just an example if you know what examples are..). He obviously can't use the PSU he got or he wouldn't have asked this question in the first place!
I gotta laugh a little though guys! You really are funny!0 -

To finally answer your question wary, since it seems like I'm the only one that understand your question/problem. Yes! This will work if your 360 PSU has the right input! It will have the right input if you bought the 360 PSU in the country you live/wanna use your console! I bought this cable your asking about myself and it works! Here's a link to a video I made as proofAs a new user I'm not allowed to post links, so please add them all together to get the link!
