IVA question

I want to move into my partners rented house but I'm in an IVA. No payments missed 19 remaining. What are the implications on her and the IVA? Cheers Steve

    Hi Steven

    In brief:

No direct implications on your partner. Unless you have applied for and/or taken out any joint financial commitments, your respective credit files will not be connected, regardless of cohabitation status.

As for the IVA, well it would be wise to make your insolvency practitioner aware of your change in circumstances as they may wish to review your income and expenditure. This may leave you being asked to pay more/less/same as before, depending on how the potential move affects your level of disposable income.

No reason on the face of it though that the IVA should be fatally undermined by this.

    Regards
