Trying to clear up after BR

So my BR is about to drop off after 6 years :j
My files were ok but for some reason they have changed, I had a bank account with Lloyds tsb which I left when I went BR and included it in my BR but it wasn't marked as default until 14 months after my BR date.

Can someone give me the right address to write to, I've had a look on ico but there are so many not sure which one to use?

I have another for BT for £50 :( that is in default dates between my BR & discharge, I'm assuming this needs changing but I wrote to BT and they said as the debt has been 'written off' there is nothing I can do apart from contact Equifax?
Which I have done but not heard anything yet

Another is CL finance, don't even know who they are but the default date is ok, it says settled and there is no balance but the date satisfied is the same as the date updated, being 2011, should this be changed?

Seems to be the right one for Lloyds --> http://www.ico.org.uk/ESDWebPages/DoSearch?reg=330171

BT are talking rubbish. If it is in their name on your credit report then they are responsible for correcting it, written off or not. Complain to them again giving them a final warning that you will take them to the ICO and Communications Ombudsman if they fail or refuse to correct the entry.

Technically the CL Finance satisfaction date should be your discharge date, but it's not crucial. It will still fall off 6 years from the default no matter what.

    In thanks for that Fermi

I have just noticed something else, if you could advise?

We had a CCJ with Northern Rock, now that is no longer showing as It is past the 6 years so no record of it on Equifax or noddle (still waiting for experian) as a CCJ but is it showing on the closed accounts section of noddle and has a default date which is August 2008, which is after my BR.
Does this need to be changed? I'm not sure if being on the closed accounts bit makes any difference, I though if they had give us CCJ's they then couldn't make the account default after this date

    How that makes sense

There shouldn't be. A default on an account must not be later than the date of any CCJ relating to it.

The ICO is very very clear on that.

46 We do not see any inconsistency in filing defaults relating to debts which the lender has also tried to recover through a CCJ or decree. Of course, the default must not be filed as being after the date of the CCJ or decree.

  • I currently have a CCJ which has been on my file for over 5 years, whilst I will still be owing money after the 6 year what happens to the listing on my file?
I'm trying to remortgage to pay this debt off but I'm finding it hard to be accepted from banks, the CCJ is placed against my property which is on the Land Registry so could someone give me advice please regarding my chance off remortgage.
    Thanks

We drop CCJs (and court judgments in other parts of the UK) after six years regardless of the balance.
