Who should I apply for a credit card from?

Hello all,
I am wondering where I should attempt to apply for a credit card from. I am a BOS customer, and have been for the 4 years I have lived in Scotland. I was a student up until May 2012, but have been working full time since.
BOS have recently changed me onto a graduate account, but they have told me I do not show as eligible for a credit card with them, just a personal loan. Curious, as I have an interest free overdraft with them for the next few years so no need for an interest paying loan.

Anywho, I have checked my credit report with Experian, and the only red flag showing is that I have only been registered at my current address for less than a year - I only changed it from my first scottish address a few months after I moved in, but I have no other issues.

I earn above 20K, in my 30's, (having been a mature student!) and I live here. BOS told me it was only their bank I wouldnt get a card with, but I could try others. If I can avoid going for the starter, 30% APR cards I would like to but has anyone any ideas for who are good for accepting?

I have never had this problem getting cards before, but I am Irish and was thrown credit during the boom times, which I did not take, which means I have no outstanding debt (I realise that is not necessarily a good thing in this circumstance!)

Im thinking of going with Santander, any ideas??

Cheers!!

Try Luma that pays 4% cashback on petrol and supermarkets. The APR means nothing if you pay the balance in full.
I think you have to apply through MSE (Moneysupermarket?) to get 4%.
