advice please my fuel supplier is offering odd deal

Hi I had a fixed deal, Scottish Power Platinum Fixed Energy 2014 Offer (v3) which I had for about 3 years and will run out on the 31st January and for the first time ever it has happened to me, they have emailed me and offered me a new deal. They say if I do nothing I will be moved to the standard prices which is to be expected I suppose but they are offering me a new fixed deal, Online Fixed Price Energy February 2015 Offer2 which amazingly comes up as the best current deal on my fuel searches but the kWh rates are different to what I see when I use either the martin Lewis search service or Uswitch. I have Economy 7 by the way.

I'm confused what is best please can someone help with this?

Scottish Power Online Fixed Price Energy February 2015v3 with the following rates, STANDING CHARGE - £0.685
ELEC DAY RATE - 13.1649p PER kWh
ELEC NIGHT RATE - 5.7992p PER kWh
ALL GAS - 3.5091p PER kWh

BUT

my email from Scottish Power offers

following rates, STANDING CHARGE - £0.3425
ELEC DAY RATE - 13.375p PER kWh
ELEC NIGHT RATE - 6.009p PER kWh
DAILY STAND.CH. - 34.25p
ALL GAS - 3.573p PER kWh

but then it has a section that says Changes to your Annual Discounts and says I will get £10.50 for Gas and Electricity and £10.50 for Online Energy Discount.

Its so confusing, should I be thinking the company may be conning me a bit or does it work out the same deal?

I cannot use the Martin Lewis site to change as it comes up with a message saying that the supplier wont let them help, probably because its the same supplier I suspect.

Is it the same deal because it has the same name?

I see you mention 'Online Fixed Price Energy February 2015 Offer2' then 'Online Fixed Price Energy February 2015v3', maybe different version.

Crazy coincidence I just received THIS email from Love Money and it mentions a reduction by Scottish Power to be implemented from the 31st of January so does this mean I should wait for new offers that take this cut into account?

Remember my deal runs out on 31st of January so ideally I would have liked to have sorted it out before then ready to go onto rather than go onto standard tariff for any time.

I am also in the process of looking to get a new deal as my Scottish Power deal ends at the end of Jan like yourself.

I also had an email detailing their latest deal which was Online Fixed Energy Feb 15 V2 and when I did some comparisons last week V2 came up (about 6th in price rankings), however, that was last week. I have now checked and they now have replaced V2 with V3 and, for me, unit prices for gas and elec have come down slightly.

maybe because of the price reduction, an offer for folks about to come to the end of their fix, though for folk already on a fix, no change.

hi, I know this is an old thread but I just wondered did you receive an e-mail when you changed price plan? Just I did mine on the 25th Feb and haven't heard anything and I wasn't sure if I should have. Thanks in advance
