Yep, they will require the offending letter, so send it to Steve and David as an attachment.

  • Hi All,

We have received two further letters from PE, I think they are each from the two appeals we have now made. These letters suggest that PEOL claims are not working, and they cite a number of legal cases in their favor.

The second letter contains a POPLA appeal form (I think).

They have not responded to the second point in my appeal which is that the ticket machine WAS NOT WORKING.

These letters are a lot more unnerving than the past few, should we continue to fight this?

I can post redacted copies of the letters if you need more information.

    Many thanks,
    knowncolo

Don't bother. Concentrate on drafting your POPLA appeal.

(Their GPEOL commentary is to try and scare you - they KNOW they are talking bullocks).

Doing EXACTLY what they're designed to do then, eh?

Of course you should continue to fight, time to get your POPLA appeal sorted and see this off with a successful one.
  • Should I continue down the PEOL route, or make the case about the machine not working?

Should I perhaps appeal to PE again asking more about the machine not working?

Continue down the well-trodden route of No GPEOL, No Authority, Non-Compliant Signage, etc. And include the machines not working too if you wish.

There are LOTS of POPLA appeal examples for you to take inspiration from.

So stop worrying, stop arguing, stop stalling, and get doing! :)
