Subscribing to threads

I am having a problem with subscribing to threads. My understanding was I was notified when there were new posts in subscribed threads. This is not happening.

Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

You need to change your settings.
Click on 'User CP'
In the left hand column look for 'Edit Option' and click on it.
Look for the heading 'Messaging & Notification'
In Sub-section 'Default Thread Subscription Mode' there is a dropdown menu box, select the email notification that you require.

Or if you don't want notifications for every thread you post on you, can do it on a case by case basis when subscribing to a thread.
