Not sure if this is the kind of board game you were thinking of but I would definitely recommend it for an anniversary...or any other day come to think of it

What about a jigzaw? Not only can you buy one of something he'd like, but you can also have one made done with a picture at places like Jacobs.0

Have you any unused wallpaper? (if not find a cheap roll somewhere).
Find a large floor space place wallpaper on floor lie down and draw round each other dressed or undressed it's up to you. Mark out your favourite places and why!!! Draw on your favourite clothes that each other wear etc etc., Draw a tartan rug on get paper plates paper cups and have a paper picnic. You can also make each other paper clothes and have a game of strip pontoon with paper cards. Also make paper roses all out of one sheet of woodchip!!! Actually don't use woodchip as the bits can be quite painful!!!

A friend of mine recently celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary and in keeping with the paper theme bought him a map of the world so that they can cross off the countries they visit throughout their married life0

Free ideas could be
1. A half hour massage were he chooses what you do.
2. A promise to was the dishes for 2 days on the run.
3. A home cooked meal of his choice.
