Thomas Cook Holiday - Advice?

Hi,
Me and my partner are flying out with Thomas Cook on 23rd June for 11 nights so our last night in our hotel will be the 3rd July. However, I hadn't really thought about this until now, but our flight back is not until 5am on the 5th July. This is going to leave me and my partner in limbo from the 12pm checkout time on 3rd until we need to be at the airport at about 3am on 5th. I know I've been a bit naive not to check the finer details in this regard but I've never felt the need to ensure the last night at the hotel is reasonable to the flight time of my return journey as it generally should be a given that it is.
Thomas Cook are now saying I should contact the hotel nearer the time of my holiday or upon arrival and sort out whether we can have a late checkout or/and leave our luggage in the hotel during the 4th so we don't have to lug it around wherever we go but as our holiday provider, shouldn't they be the ones to sort this out on our behalf?
Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

If it were me, I'd ring the hotel and try to book another nightChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0

It's costly...Plus, the hotel is quite a small one with no apparent active website (no contact details for me to find) and Thomas Cook won't provide me with any contact details...0

Hotels that have guests staying with UK tour operators are used to this scenario, if they can't do late check out it's likely they'll be able to provide somewhere for you to keep your luggage and change and shower before you leave for the airport at around midnight.
But no, it's not for them to sort out for you.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
If you don't mind me asking what's the hotel called? I may be able to get you there contact details from our system at work.I am a Travel Agent

I'll PM you as I'm always a bit wary of how much detail I post online and I've already stated my holiday dates!0 -
Yes I agree you can never be too wary. Hopefully you are all sorted now.I am a Travel Agent

Are you sure you don't mean checkout at noon on 4th, not the 3rd?? 11 nights from the 23 June would mean checkout on 4th July
Assuming that - we've done this loads of times, I've never known a hotel to not look after your bags when you have a late flight. They'll usually let you use the facilities, sometimes even have a shower before you go so you can spend the day on the beach etc.0 -
Just book another night, or book a night at a cheap airport hotel for the 4th?0
