Halifax Credit Card PPI Offer

Options
Hello

Myself and husband have sent off many claims for PPI in may last year and where rejected by all of them.
This morning out of the blue my husband has received a letter from Halifax Credit card offering £1496.84, stating that their initial response was incorrect and in fact he had been mis-sold PPI as he has always been self employed.
I have seen different responses in these forums about rejection go first offers from the banks but my husband says he is happy with the amount.

Can anyone please Advise?

Many Thanks

There is no such thing as a "first" offer of PPI redress, since it is a defined amount. You will only ever get a full refund of your PPI plus attendant interest plus 8% simple interest.

Unless you can show that the Bank's calculations are somehow wrong, you can accept the offer content in the knowledge that you will get no more.
