Must be doing something right somewhere

I have been a long time lurker on this forum and picked up lots of good advice. In the past I was a bit reckless with my finances and currently have 7 defaults dating back 3 years. In 2011, I managed to obtain a mobile phone contract and I have never missed a payment. I resurrected an old 'settled' catalogue account with studio and last February I applied for an aqua and vanquis card. Aqua refused me but vanquis gave me that chance to 'prove' myself. My starting limit was £500 - rather generous i thought then this increased to £1000 in the summer. Just before xmas this increased to £2000 and given me a gold card.
I always pay the balance off in full every month.
I also ordered a winter coat from next and had a limit of £150. Again I paid this in full and now have £1500!
I applied for an aqua card just before xmas and I was accepted.
Received my card today with a starting limit of £250.
I am over the moon as despite all my defaults, I am obviously doing something right. I found out the hard way what can happen if you are not careful.
I have no intention of using all the credit that is currently available to me and I use my vanquis for the weekly shop. I'll probably just use my aqua card for dog food.
I am hoping to be accepted for a mainstream card in the next couple of years but for now I am happy with the two I have and the more green ticks the better so I'd just like to say thanks to all those who take the time out and post with helpful information/advice :beer:
