Transferring Funding?

Hello,
Due to a number of life-limiting conditions, I receive fully-funded CHC (Continuing Health Care) social and nursing support, each three times a day.
My husband has been offered a job at the other end of the country, but he is worried about how we will be able to transfer all my support. Does anybody know any more about this?
Many thanks,

Hi there,
I moved whilst getting direct payments for care from social services. Initial county said nothing to do with us and stopped paying so I was without care whilst trying to set things up in next county.
After a while it came out via new county that old county should have paid me 4-6 weeks as a reciprocal agreement whilst new support was put in place.
I would start by contacting current provider and asking there procedure.. I would also contact new area and explain you are moving in soon with complex needs.
Good luck0 -
CHC is NHS funded, not funded via social services. The system I believe now comes under the remit of the GP commissioning groups. Despite the introduction of the National framework and DST (decision support tool) in England there are still wide variances in rates of awarding CHC from one area to another. Although theoreticaly there should be consistency of awarding CHC across England that may not be the case. So initially a move within England should be OK but any reassessment may highlight different award judgements.
There are also different CHC systems operating in Wales, Scotland and NI so if the proposed move crosses one of these borders it may cause difficulties.0
