Saving games on samsung tablet/phone

I bought a samsung S4 and the note 8.0 and both have games downloaded. I have selected the option of move/save to sd card but noticed that the game icons are now greyed out with the wee android alien thing and not a picture of the game icon that you would see in the app store.
Only some of the games are like this and I can't fathom why as a couple of weeks later the game icon will be back to normal for some of them but not all?
Can anyone help/explain? The games work fine btw.

Issues with reading the memory card. Or it created a new icon for the game elsewhere.
With the older S2. After updating some apps i found the icons greyed. Then spotted new icons created on another page.
Unable to remove the old icons though as it said already deleted.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
