iPad 4 retina...advice?

Hi,

Got this in august and worked well...was a refurbished one direct from apple...recent the screen has flickered black and back after being plugged in to charge...is it a coincidence that it has started after buying a new cable for the charger? It is not authentic apple...have just purchased an authentic one on the web but was wondering if anyone else has had any experience in this area?
Hi Ho Hi Ho it's of to comp I go!

Sounds odd. If you got it in August direct from Apple it'll still be under waranty, you can book a Genius Bar appointment at an Apple store and they'll look at it.

    It could be the cable/charger:

    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

While it is under a year old think about buying Applecare for an extra 2 year warranty and free help. Look on Ebay for best price.

Thanks for all the responses guys...took it to the Apple Store in MK today (once I found it!)...it was heaving...they said that was quiet! Hadn't been able to get an appt as it would not recognise my email to get my apple ID...then realised I was using my works email! Anyway they are going to see me tomorrow as it was a 2 hour wait! The girl thankfully saw the problem and said it shouldn't be happening! If the techie guys can't fix it it will be repaired or replaced! The !!!!!! is when I got home I managed to drop it outside the house...sods law! All is ok apart from a little scratch/dent at one corner...

Another update...took it in today...guy had a look and said deco a tech issue...handed me a new one...bobs your auntie! Well chuffed....it now appears there was more wrong with it than I had anticipated...rotate was intermittent and looking at battery in my new one the other one was draining battery and taking forever to get charged...

If the charger isn't genuine, I would blame that. I would never use a fake charger, they're notorious for being low quality and just blowing up can easily cause fires and potentially kill people!

Glad you got it sorted for free, This is why I love Apple products, I took my Macbook in when it was 5 years old with a fault, 2 hours later they had fixed it for free!
Still consider buying the extra Applecare before it is a year old.
