Hi, I have a Picasso and the brake lights keep sticking. If I lift the brake pedal with my foot, the lights go off, so I take it something needs tightened somewhere at the pedal, just wondering if anyone else has had this and if it's a big job to get fixed?

    Probably justs needs adjusting.
Look below the dash above brake pedal and you will see the switch.
Most work on a ratchet system.
Push it towards the brake pedal one or two clicks until the light goes of when pedal is sitting in normal position
If it isn't broken, don't try to fix it.

Sounds like the return spring on the brake pedal is worn.

Reset or replace the switch. Lubricate the hinge points on the pedals.

Is it a simple switch on the brake pedal? I only ask that because it's a long time since I have dealt with this on a car, and most bikes these days have pressure switches on top of the master cylinder. If they go wrong, it's usually replacement time.

If it's a simple mechanical switch, then lubing the pedal pivot to restore the full movement, and/or adjusting the switch body downwards a tad should do it. My first guess would be that the pedal has got a bit stiff and is not returning fully under spring pressure.
