Hi and Help

Options
Hi everyone
I have been contacted by Halifax saying that I took out ppi on a loan with them.
They have sent a claim form and only a policy number and no account number.
Before I fill in the questionnaire /claim form, would it be best to get a copy of the original terms and conditions of the loan ? (I cant really remember whether it was in branch or telephone application) Would this be possible without an account number could I just do it with the policy number and the letter reference?
Which letter to use is it the big sar one or the closed account one (the account is closed)and is it head office or the ppi team address to write to ?
Sorry for all the questions folks but if I can get all this sorted would really help with life.:j

Dealing with this one first and then Barclays though they have said they will send us the details when they contacted us and even provided account numbers policy start finish dates and cancelation dates already.:T

No point sending for anything first, the Bank have written to you and already know all the details you could glean from a SAR. The terms & conditions are not available for closed accounts anyhow.

Just fill in the form as honestly as you can and state your
    complaint reasons.

    Ditto the above.
  • Hi
The Halifax one went well and now on to Barclays.
Problem I have is that as I had a few loans etc with them, one they have said is not for them its first plus.
They seem to want to ask all sorts of questions on the phone
which I am declining to answer at the moment because its hard really hard to sort out which where done face to face or by post.
I have no original paperwork and am sure they are just trying to trip me up. So stick with forms and letters.
Any advice appreciated post or p.m. thanks

They are not trying to "trip you up", just advance your complaint quicker than snail mail.

I wouldn't invite personal messages on the open forum if I were you...
  • Hi
Thanks for the advice taken on board.
    Many thanks
