Life after DMP

Hi,
I finished my DMP about 8 months ago and I am currently working on improving my credit rating with a credit card that I pay in full every month. I have a couple of questions that I am hoping someone can help me with:
1. If my partner and I set up a joint bank account, will his credit rating be adversely affected by being attached to me?
2. We also want to buy a house together. He already has a property which we would sell but what are my chances of actually being able to contribute to a mortgage? In other words, even though I have a poor credit rating, would a bank take both our incomes into account when applying for a mortgage, or just his?
Any advice would be much appreciated. C

A joint account application will financially link you of which your credit files will be part of the credit scoring."You know when it's cold outside when you go outside and it's cold"0
