Decided to go to the cinema yesterday, it was a bit of an impulse so I didn't book online.
I went to the counter to buy my two adult tickets and one teen for a 3d showing of the hobbit. I asked to use some of my premier club points. The cashier asked me how many points I had and I said I wasn't sure, and asked if I didn't have enough could I use it as part payment. He just said no of course you can't.
At no point did he check my points balance, I just assumed they couldn't check it in the cinema, I only bought the card a month ago and haven't used it in the cinema before, I normally book online to avoid speaking to the staff who seem to know nothing!!
Seeing as it was going to cost over £30 I decided to drive to the cineworld instead which was £10 cheaper, only its about 10 miles away! I did it more out of principle than anything else.
After we get home I log onto my odeon account to find out I did indeed have enough points for the teen ticket to be paid for!! So this member of staff was rude, dismissive and didn't even know what he was talking about!!
These odeon cards are meant to attract loyalty but I can't see how if the staff don't even know how the cards work and don't seem to want to deal with them! Wish I had never bought the thing now!
