Yes it is a reliable pattern.
I don't know the answer but maybe someone on here will...

What's the make and model of your Wifi box?

(Another thing to try is to switch the WiFi box off altogether for a while, maybe 15-30 mins.)
  • Works for me with Firefox and Chromium (OS Ubuntu 13.10)

It works fine for me. I suspect a DNS issue on your end.

    Try this...

    1. Hold Windows and press R on keyboard. That will give you the run box.
    2. Type "cmd" without the quotes and Hit Enter
    3. Type "ipconfig /flushdns" without the quotes and hit Enter.
    4. Close the command window and try again.

    If that didn't work...try

    1. Hold Windows and press R on keyboard. That will give you the run box.
    2. Double Click on Local Area Connection (name might vary) or it might be one of the Wireless ones if you're on a laptop / wireless connection. Just look for one that is connected to your network / Internet.
    3. Look for and double click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
    4. Leave the above section on Obtain IP automatically but underneath choose User the following DNS server address.
    5. Enter 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for the DNS. Click OK to everything, then try again.

    If that fails....
