Unrecognised Direct Debit

Hi, I logged on to my Barclays current account today to sort out my banking. I noticed a Direct Debit which I didn't recognise, one payment had gone out in December and it is scheduled to go out again on the 16th. I called Barclays to see if they had any more information and was told to Google it! (Obviously I had Googled it before I called them anyway but cannot find any information.)
I know they are a merchant for online payments but that is all I can find out. I am not saying that it wasn't us who set it up and just don't recognise the name but does anybody know how to find out more information please? The DD says OPTIMAL PAYMENTS LTD RE PERFORM 1
Thanks

A quick Google shows that Optimal Payments Ltd are a payment processor, I would hazard a guess that they're processing the Direct Debit for Perform 1. You might get more information by contacting them directly and asking what this is. They process Direct Debits through their Netbanx brand. http://www1.netbanx.com/
Not sure what you can do about getting the money back in this situation, I'm not too familiar with Direct Debits and fraud.0 -
Call them: 0845 485 12460

Google shows it's probably to do with Football TV. Might be a continuous payment authority too rather than a DD0

Are the payments £4.49 (as per https://secure.player.tranmererovers.co.uk/buy?WT.mc_id=hptoSSO)?0

It is indeed Tranmere Player, it is an annual DD of £37.99, you saved 25% by doing it that way.
Thanks everybody, much appreciated!Doing my best :doh:0 -
Surely you could buy Tranmere Rovers for that amount

you don't make any sense; if it is annual as you state above, then how come "one payment had gone out in December and it is scheduled to go out again on the 16th." as you state in post 1?The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0
