Tassimo T40 - Fault?

I was given a Tassimo T40 for Christmas and it was been working great up until yesterday morning.

I was making a drink and all of a sudden the bottom two lights went red and the machine stopped. I checked the manual and it said this meant the machine had a fault and to turn it off and back on after five minutes.

I did this and the red lights had gone and the machine seemed fine so I had to throw away the t-disc I was using as it had part brewed and start again and this time the machine finished the drink.

However since this the green extra water light that comes on after the drink has brewed is flashing erratically. Rather than staying green for 15/20 seconds then going to the next orange standby light it flashes on and off randomly, like three seconds on, off, on for one second, off, etc.

It is making drinks fine but obviously something is wrong with it. I have emailed tassimo but does anyone have any idea what is up with it?

I am not overly impressed as I have only had the machine two weeks and only use it once a day!

Hi

At the back of the Tassimo, there is a yellow service disc. Put in the service disc, run some water through it and see if that helps.

I've had a my T40 a couple of months and it can be troublesome. The service disc usually helps.
