Lloyds made an error?!

Options
I put in a complaint over a year ago for PPI and Lloyds said no, I had just had a baby at the time so didn't have time to complain to ombudsman. I thought I was owed around £200 and the loan had been paid off so I forgot about it.

Then yesterday I received a letter from Lloyds saying they had made an error investigating my claim and it has now been upheld. With interest on top it's for almost £600! Which will go straight in my account or cheque in 28 days.

Has this happened to anyone else?

    Yes.

When a handler has found to make mistakes and a trend is noticed, then past cases get reviewed and decisions can get changed. Happens too much on PPI unfortunately (As in not getting it right first time) but that is due to the number of contract workers and third parties with limited knowledge being involved.
