    This sounds like clown shoes to me.

    Personally, I'd buy a £500 banger. Most employers would insist you have a way to actually get to work, i.e. a reliable vehicle.

    If you're off visiting clients then that's a different matter but then surely you're talking company cars then?

    If you're obviously in a difficult financial state, car finance is probably the last thing you want!
