Alternative to Halifax High Interest Current Account

Good Morning All,

I have been reading through the guide on how to reclaim bank charges for the past 6 years.

I currently have a Halifax High Interest Current account and was wondering what the best alternative current account is on the market for someone who is always in credit.

Any ideas would be widely welcome

Dave

A&L do a similar one to the Halifax: Premier Direct Current Account.

They were doing a refer a friend scheme too. I do prefer the Halifax, myself, in terms of the facilities.

Someone posted of an Abbey a/c recently here:

  • Nationwide offer 4.25% on up to 3k of your balance if you credit at least £1,000 each month, and lots of people seem happy with them, including me. Their esavings (instant transfers to/from current account) pays a good 5.55% so no need to have any money eaning a paltry rate.
