    F&F is full and final settlement; where you agree to pay a lump sum of what's left, in exchange for the provider not chasing any further for the debt.

    Get yourself on the Debt Free Wannabee board (if you didn't already), and post up your income and expenses, plus details of all your debts. We have experienced advisers there, plus a number of people trying to pay off debt one step at a time. You will get the support you need.

    Correct, I've heard it said that you shouldn't have a balance which is more than 30% of your available credit. I don't have a source for that, but it's pretty obvious that the less of your credit you're using the better. A missed payment is the single worst thing that can hit a credit rating. But don't listen to me, I'm only human and have been there, done that with defaulted cc's, and it's taken me years to claw my way back to a good place financially. :)
