I am more posting a review about freeindex as I have found it very useful on many fronts so would recommend it.
Firstly it is very useful for reviews and I do ask my customers to leave reviews, I say this as reviews off site give much more confidence than a testimonial in the text of the site as its much more likely to be legit.
They do offer the code for a widget so you can display the reviews on your site which is very helpful.
The offer good quality back links for seo of your site (this was the main reason I initially registered.
If somebody requests work in your category you will get an email about it.
And of course you are on a business directory which does get traffic.
Also the big one for me is my business name isn't the most unique and I was struggling to get up the good listings but now a search for my company comes up with my free index page as the first result, yes I would prefer that to be my site directly but its close enough.
By all means do list yourself in yell and other too but I really have freeindex to be a great tool.
