On various websites I periodically (but increasingly) find the screen freezing and then a message
"Shockwave Flash may be busy or may have stopped responding"
Any ideas why, and what to do?
cheers!

I'm not sure, but I noticed this in Firefox on Windows machines recently. I disabled hardware acceleration (by right-clicking on a Flash video and choosing "settings") and set the Flash plugin to "Ask to activate" in about:addons.
It seems to have done the trick...0 -
I have also been getting this lately, and with a bit of searching it looks like the latest update of flash isn't compatible with Firefox.
I tried various things posted on the net and it looks like it is definately a firefox/compatability problem, as nothing helped.
I downloaded chrome and haven't had this problem again. If it isn't broken, don't try to fix it.0
