I reserved an item at argos went into the store to collect the item, whilest parking in a disabled spot, I was only 6 minutes and in this time I was issued with a ticket on my windscreen. The t@#t must have watched me park then gave me a ticket straight away. Do I need to pay this or not?
Any advice would be gratefully accepted.

Taking up a disabled space if you're not eligible is certainly not something we condone here.
However the short answer to your question is no.

Was this a windscreen ticket - wait until NtK arrives.
Was this in England or Wales.
Are you the registered keeper/driver
Is this a company/lease car?
By the way - I like your username - we all hate UKCPS - in fact we hate all PPCs!0 -
Hi sorry for late reply.
Yes it was a windscreen ticket, the Notice to keeper has now arrived.
The ticket was issued in England, and yes I am the registered keeper.

@IhateUKCPS - pm sent - please act upon it.
You will need to make an appeal to UKCPS along the lines:
Dear UKCPS,
Parking charge notice
Vehicle registration number:
I am the registered keeper of the above vehicle and deny any liability to pay the above parking charge as the driver on the day disputes making a valid contract with your company on the following grounds:
The signage is inadequate and non-compliant with the BPA's CoP
UKCPS are merely agents for the landowner and do not have any proprietary interest in the car park in question to enable them to pursue this matter through the courts.
The amount claimed is punitive in nature and does not reflect a genuine pre-estimate of loss for any alleged breach of terms.
You are therefore invited to cancel this charge now or issue an authentic POPLA code for the next stage of the appeals process within 35 days of this letter.
Please be aware that should you not cancel this charge by return and continue to pursue this matter with or without issuing a valid POPLA code, then I reserve the right to pursue a claim for damages against your company. The charges I may claim are not exhaustive and will include my time in dealing further with this matter at a court rate of £18 per hour, stationery, postage and any legal advice and travel expenses incurred. By continuing to pursue me, you agree to pay these charges on demand when I prevail.
Yours faithfully
