I have MSN on my computer for contacts with friends.
Sometime ago I allowed a friend to use it by logging on with their own username and password.
Ever since I find I now have a related program Windows Messenger which as far as I can recall I have never installed on my computer
Now, often once I've turned my computer on I get messages popping up for my friend.
It seems that my friends account logs on automatically whenever I go online.
I dont want Windows Messenger on my computer at all. I'm quite happy to just have MSN
I cant find it in add/remove programs
When I try to shut off my friends account it says other instances are open on my computer. I am forced to close down outlook, outlook express and Internet explorer before it allows me to log it off altogether.
Can anyone help me to get rid of this unwanted microsoft program altogether?
I find it very annoying and very imposing

easy to remove

control panel
add/remove
down left hand side it says

click on this
uncheck the box at the bottom for windows messenger
