Hi there,
Does anyone know of any websites to insure older gadgets, I have a thinkpad X61S and its the best machine ive ever owned, on my second one but i have noticed they are becoming harder and harder to find.
I heard someone mention the other day a website that insures older gadgets?
could be dreaming it but would love to know if anyone has heard of anything like this?
cheers!

I can't see much point in insuring it I'm afraid. I've just read a review from July 2007, over 6 years ago, so regardless of how much you value it any insurance company will put a minimal value on it. I see you can buy refurbished ones for about £150, I doubt whether an insurer would give you anywhere near that so you're probably better off saving the premiums - perhaps you could just buy a spare one to use if anything happens to yours.0

There's loads of refurbished/ used ones on eBay for less than £100 so I second agrinnall's comments. Money saved by not insuring it can buy you a refurb.0
