Thank you for your advice, unfortunately once there at the store I did not think of asking at least his email address,.. my mistake what I am thinking of doing is waiting now a couple of days until Tuesday and if I not hear anything back from them pop in the store again and request the store manager's email so I can remind and put everything on writing as discussed here on the forum , I hope this will work

Yep, get as much in writing as possible, but without making it too onerous on the store manager as he could well lose interest and concentrate on his job of managing his store instead!

That's why I think it's a good move to hand everything on a plate with an email to him, which will only require him to press the reply button, say 'Charge cancelled' and then press the send button. Job done, then he can get on with checking if they've managed to offload all those unsold mince pies from Christmas. :rotfl:

Once this is sorted, start looking for another supermarket that does not have the most parasitic car park management firm infesting the car park.
Now you know ho parking Eye are, you know that if you are prepared to park, you put up with this.
Just be thankful you did not make two visits !
They are king of the double dip scam.

PS looking forward to my Mods warning when PARKING EYE and their resident paid troll complain I called them parasites.

my local Morrissons has NO parking control like this one, no PPC , no ANPR cameras , no signage either save to say its for customers , no levies , no charges , nothing

I suspect its down to the initial planning regs as they took over a lot of the old council car park there, but there is no doubt that it varies across the country

Or they haven't yet had a visit from a PE suit offering to sort out their (non existent) parking problems. And all at nil cost to them - other than customer annoyance and ultimate defection - but they won't realise that until after they've signed the contract. And then PE will remind them of what happened to Somerfield.

When you analyse this whole scenario, PE actually shaft everyone.

Honest comment in my book. You can prove that parking companies generate income by misleading victims with unsubstantiated and highly dubious claims for money, as proved more times at popla and court, than not. Also using veiled threats of possible outcomes like a ccj when there are many and lengthy steps before they would even be considered.

    HI All

Thank you for the great advice that you provided me.... today I went to the Store and Spoke to the store manager showing him all the letter received from PE and debt collector limited along with the credit card statement proving I shopped there on that day,...I did not even had to finish my argumentation that he took the document with him my mobile number and address reassuring that the issue will be resolved in a matter of a couple of day when I should expect to hear from them with a successful outcome.

Wow I am impressed by their service....finger crossed and everything should be already sorted and case closed before even having it opened.... I will keep you posted when I ll next hear from them

Do make sure you get the original paperwork back even if it is cancelled, just to cover yourself and keep as a record & to show friends what to do!

I have added your case in the first post here on the sticky thread of 'successful complaints' as link #4 regarding Morrisons cancelling a PE ticket:

HTH, looks like it should be confirmed in a few days, from what you have said. Well done!
