Reclaiming PPI if I reconsolidated loan 3 times and on the fourth became bancrupt

Dear MSE forum users,
I was sent twice, out of the blue, letters from NatWest regarding 4 loans I had PPI on in the early 2000's. I went bankrupt in 2005 and the final loan was the one in my bankruptcy list. Can I still claim on the first 3 mis-sellings. I think if I did qualify on the "hard sell" section but perhaps I could qualify on the following. I took out the first loan/PPI when I had a job, but became unemployed, due to my child's nursery being closed. I then reconsolidated the loan when I was unemployed, until I ran out of options. I then went bankrupt in 2005. I haven't claimed before as I know that my PPI should go to my receiver (although I can now get credit now as I have just been given a mortgage). All those "claim back PPI" unsolicited calls usually drive me mad, as I have to tell them that I was a bankrupt at which point the cold caller puts the phone down, but as the bank who was listed in my creditor contacted me I was wondering if I was eligible or is the more for NatWests best interests and I should hold back from claiming? Many thanks in advance

You can complain but if successful then in the first instance NatWest would be entitled to set it off against any debts it wrote of as a result of your bankruptcy. After that, it would be normal for proceeds to be passed to your Trustee for distribution to other creditors.
If there was any money left after that it would go to you.0 -
Bankrupts are not allowed to gain financially from PPI complaints unless the PPi is post bankruptcy:
