Dongle signal problem, can you advise please?

My mum would like to get on the internet and she had considered a pay as you go dongle as we don't have a landline fixed in. On further research it has turned out that the signal wouldn’t be strong enough because of the area of our house.
Is there anyway we could get round this please? She is a bit dissapointed that she cannot, or may not be ble to get on line.
Thanks.

What does she envisage doing on the internet?
Even if a PAYG dongle would work (have you checked all networks?), it could turn out to be more expensive than getting a deal to install a line with broadband. Look into the deals currently on offer, with free installation of a line in your case. She would have to pay line rental on top of the broadband deal, but it could work out cheaper in the long run than using a dongle - and may be the only realistic option.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Hi thanks for your reply. She wants it for research, checking emails, Skype and buying off Amazon etc.
What deals are going with a free installation and where is the best place to look please?0 -

Based on what? On all five networks? Why a second thread?

Since broadband is exchange-specific, start with an exchange search on wwww.samknows.com for her available LLU providers. Rack rates for a line install is £130, but many providers will discount to £50 or less (sometime zero) depending on the value of the package taken.
If there is no 3G signal available on any network, then a landline or cable service are the only realistic options for internet. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
