Parking fine Asda

Angell1407
Hi I have read the newbie thread but just want to be sure I have understood correctly. I received a ticket on the windscreen at asda 2 weeks ago due to the ticket I purchased being blown off the dashboard on the windiest day I've ever experienced and me not realising. So I have the windscreen ticket plus the ticket I purchased.
Am I right in thinking I wait for a letter then appeal? Hubby is registered keeper but I was driving.

Yes - Or better still challenge them on there being no loss whatsoever because you paid.
Letter will come to your husband as RK.0 -
always complain to the landowner/shop too, in this case complain to asda themselves if they are the landowner, possibly the actual shop manager instead of head office0

Just to be clear, and I'm sure pogofish intended this, the challenge should always wait until you've received the NtK, which should be delivered within the timeframe 29 - 56 days after the issue of the windscreen ticket.
Two things to do in the meantime:
1. Continue to read and learn on here what this stuff is all about - the more you know, the more successfully you will deal with this.
2. Complain to the store - the manager, not the customer services fob-off frump, or the bacon-hand on the deli counter. If no joy with the manager write to the CEO - his details are in either the NEWBIES sticky or the Successful Complaints sticky.
Come back if you get a result from 2, or, after receiving your NtK, with your draft POPLA appeal - we will help you ensure you have all the winning words in it, including the 4-word winner 'genuine pre-estimate of loss' (GPEOL in forum shorthand). Watch out for that phrase/acronym as you do further reading - it really is your best friend. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
