October Half Term Flight To Paris

I'm looking to take my Wife away for her 40th during the half term break this year (with kids).
I'm thinking of Paris, when will the cheapest flights be released? I'll be flying from north west England.
Otherwise can anyone recommend any other European cities where I could get cheap flights to at that time of year?
Thanks in advance

How old are your kids? Its not somewhere i personally would holiday with children.
Barcelona is a pleasant city to visit and has good beaches nearby. There is also Port Aventura in nearby Salou to keep the kids happy. We prefer to rent apartments in cities even for short visits and have done so in Barcelona and Madrid.0 -
I'd only expect the prices to edge up from now.
Air France from Manchester will typically cost c£100 return booked well in Advance. Cases included and a croissant. Booking the same plane via Flybe might occasionally identify a cheaper fare.
Easyjet fly from Liverpool, although you might need to wait a month for full schedule. Expect a £75+ fare with additional cost for hold baggage.
Getting a cheap hotel is the challenge!0 -
The kids will be 4 and 11, we're only planning to go for 2 or 3 nights and this trip will be more for the wife as it's her birthday.
When do Ryan Air release flights ad I was also looking at Budapest but no flights are available yet with them?0 -
Is there any way you could leave kids with grandparents/aunt/uncle etc? I'm sure if this is supposed to be a birthday trip you might both enjoy it more kid-free

Then, if the family are local, you wouldn't even need to restrict yourselves to half-term (when flights etc will be more expensive)...0 -
Sounds great but with us it's wherever we go the kids go
