Out of hours ATM deposits?

Not being able to deposit cash out of hours is a real pain but cheques are fine. I always post cheques both for personal, business and for the various banks we use at work. I just put a paying in slip in with the cheque and post in a normal envelope. Not sure what deposit envelopes are.
Never had a problem. If I'm passing the bank out of hours I shove the envelope through the letter box, credited next day. One of the branches I would use is only open 10 - 3 which is just silly.
I live out in the sticks and have found it handy to deposit cash into my account using the postoffice.0 -
That's true actually, local post offices can take cash and cheque deposits for Lloyds accounts as I recall.0

Actually, another thought, if you have an online account with a bank, you may be able to arrange to deposit and withdraw cash at a completely different bank - we have arrangements at two different bank branches and two PO branches (but we're a charity, and banking with one of the charity specialists).Signature removed for peace of mind0
