                    Hi,
wife and i turn 40 in early 2015 and looking to book a holiday. So far we've seen one with Thomson for a hotel we've lusted after staying in but i'd like to haggle. However no other online place ive tried is yet offering holidays for April 2015 i've tried Expedia, Travel supermarket and icelolly along with thomas cook but no joy. Any other suggestions?

Is that during the high demand Easter holidays?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Yep. Three kids including one who will be doing 11+ that year so confined to the school dates.0

So what sort of leverage do you have to haggle with?
If it's purely that you won't sign if they don't negotiate, you may find it a very one sided discussion.
Easter 2015 is way off, you could maybe wait till Easyjet or Ryanair release flights [sometime this summer?] and then speak to the hotel direct and DIY it.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
As a rule Thomson will not haggle and they are increasing the number of hotels that they contract to be the only UK operator there, so often there is no alternative. Added to the fact that Easter is peak season when prices rise, not fall and I think you need to be looking for an alternative hotel and as others have said, book your flights with whichever carrier operates from your local airport as soon as they go on sale.0
