'restocking fee's', which eBay don't allow

    Hi mate

Can you point me to this in ebays rules? - I've been looking but I can't find it!

Well I'm not so unforgiving. If I was in the op's position I would see what the seller has to say.

  • I had a similar problem with an awkard seller.

Left negative feedback and all of a sudden the begging messages started. They offered to refund double the money, offered to send me a selection of items out - Told them I would not be removing the negative and in future not to be deliberately awkward with buyers with faulty items.

flash I will see what they have to say but i'm also not in a hurry to change the feedback. I just want to be tooled up with the rules and put them to the seller to see what they say first!

Seller has had two chances already, just how much would you allow a seller to walk all over you then?

Personally I think this is less to do with this transaction and more to do with protecting future buyers. If OP removes feedback that might save a future buyer from getting ripped off I would consider that a failure .

My feedback was all truthful too. I stated what the item was like and what hassle the return was and why (you'd be amazed how much time I spend condensing a long explanation into 80 characters lol - I've spent 2 hours wittling it down before lol).

It was definitely a maximum impact feedback that will cause a stir with their other customers.

I've sent a reply, no doubt the grovelling will start soon :sigh:

Oh and I forgot to mention they also send a prepaid label for the postage saying to get a certificate of postage at the PO. We all know ebay say it must be trackable!

But this is the whole point of the feedback system... to let other buyers know of your experience.

What good is it if buyers change their feedback at the sellers request, even if they are being paid to do so!

    Hi guys

Just a follow up as I know we all like to know the end result!

I messaged the seller putting my points to them and gave them a chance to put it right. They completely ignored me!

Needless to say the neg stayed :)
